posted 12 Feb 2012 13:50 by Andrew Joseph   [ updated 12 Feb 2012 14:33 ]

Hello everybody...  Spring is starting to show its green shoots and we have emerged from hibernation to get out to a few fayres and shows.  So far we have concentrated on Hana's Soul Portraits and The Walking Runes but watch this space for future developments such as courses and Hana's new Wolf Boards.

On Saturday we were in Malow at the first Lotus Fayer of the year and caught up with so many of our friends it is not possible to make mention of everyone but you know who you are...  Hilary, Jane, Jo-ann, Helena, Francis, Wendy and everyone else... Special mention to Karen French who was there to promote her new Book The Hidden Geometry of Life fresh off the press (Andy says thanks for all your help with his Ridgeway project Karen) and Pauline & Ian from Ki for Life who were in Marlow for the first time with their wonderful range of incenses and other goodies and a special mention to Paul McDonald Healing Therapist of Harmony Healing

On Sunday Hana displayed her full range of Spirit Art at the new Crystal Cradle event in High Wycombe to much interest.. you can contact Hana Here if you would like more information or a consultation for a Soul Portrait if you were not able to speak to her on the day.

We will be at the Third Eye Event in Witney on 18 Febuary 2012 at the new Masonic Hall venue be great to see you for a spring Walking Rune Reading or a Soul Portrait consultation :-) click here for more details...

Medium, Healer and Teacher who also runs paranormal investigations and retreats at Bickleigh Castle and Liz Bridger and Jane Stickley who, amongst their many healing gifts, offer the Bowen Technique in the local area you can contact liz here,  It was lovely to catch up with old friends like Annie Whittaker (Shaman, teacher and medium) from Seventh Heaven who was there with her range of  beautiful gifts for everyone and official "Earth-Angel" Samantha Milns, Animal Communictor, Reiki Master, Teacher and Aura Photographer always such a positive force at these events... We always get to meet interesting and inspiring new people at these events as we did in Gail and Michael Nelson from The Chill Zone they have set up Villa La Paz (House of Peace) near Malaga in Andalucia , Spain (birthplace of the Walking Runes) they provide affordable retreats and courses for those on journeys of self discovery and the wonderfull Corrin Jane Wood who opperates a little closer to home as an inspirational coach in Personal development and Empowerment (amongst many other areas) she had her range of Elemantal & Wild Earth Animal Essences  available and can be contacted here

Andy gave a talk on the walking Runes that generated a great deal of interest and Hana was available to discuss her illustration work all in all a very busy and productive day for Applemoon and a big thank you to Fiona and her team for such a well organised event.

Applemoon has had a busy week:   On Tuesday we were at The Crystal Cradle Psychic Event near Maidenhead were we met up with Theresa and Tom from move2one who were offering readings and Reiki Healing and international Clairvoyant and Psychic Patricia (07889369262).

Over the weekend we sent up our tent at the Magical Camp organised by Mathew Callow from The Magical Times we were blessed with a gorgeous weekend in a beautiful setting near Worthing.  Great to spend time with so many diverse individuals with such a common sense of purpose...Musical entertainment was provided by many talented musicians (including Mathew himself) On Friday night Serpentyne had us all up dancing in a medieval style under to light of the moon and twinkling stars awesome and a lot of fun...  Saturday nights entertainment came from the legendary Damh The Bard and songstress Alison Williams-Bailey the great Touch the Earth played on both nights but excelled themselves with a raw acoustic set on Saturday night which had us all up and dancing round the fire pit and provided an earthy close to the days entertainment.  We got to catch up with old friends Tony and Angela from  The Simmering Couldron and met the lovely Janeen from moon daizee dezigns who makes the most remarkable  Jewelry from recycled materials.  All in all a top weekend

Walking Barefoot

posted 5 Aug 2011 03:04 by Andrew Joseph

Applemoon was out enjoying the wonderful weather at the Barefoot Festival this weekend giving Readings and soaking up the relaxed atmosphere, It was our first time with the new tent so we were experimenting with the decoration a bit we were aiming for  a sort of Bolan/Bedouin hybred.....

Hana produced a wonderfull sign to attract custom...

We managed to get set up in amongst the food, next to the Green Bay Cafe  great smoothies :-)  enjoyed  Sacha Gittins’s spicy Caribbean preserves (Scotch Bonnet chutney oh yes) and yummy cheesecake from the Yummy Cheesecake stall.

To work all this great food off we got to do a few classes such as Andrea’s Oriental Dance and the amazing Capoeiara and still managed to fit in a bit of time to do some shopping with the Vintage Faery

As always the cabaret on Saturday night was spectacular... with an amazing boylesque act from Equador The Wizard to finish off unfortunately I was laughing so much I forgot to keep the camera in focus so you will just have to come next year to find out why we love this festival so much...

Roaming Runes Return

posted 28 Jul 2011 02:18 by Andrew Joseph

Hola

My attempts to write the blog as I journeyed proved overly ambitious!  As the journey to Finesterre became more engaging it is only now that I have returned that I can reflect on the way I have followed for these past three years in order to get to the end of the world.  I will be writting more on this subject but for now here are some picture from the Walking Runes on "tour"

Setting off with a healthy breakfast of chilled Rioja is a great way to start the day...

The way is often dramatic

The path takes many forms... but for me the stones are the way...

...sometimes left as personal markers...

...expressing hope...

...they show the way...

Arriving in Santiago de Compostella...

... the walking runes in the square...

... a reading for Julia... Coracle Rune, confidence and learning to trust your own energies...

The way is often spectacular...

A reading for Simon Gentleness, Healing and Love

...arriving at the end of the road, the end of the world, Finesterre

You can click on any picture to see a larger version I hope you like them and are inspired totake your own journies

Hope to meet you soon

Blessings

Walking Home

Hola, hope you are all well, just a little update from Spain, Have now made it as far as Pieros at a place called El Serbal y la Luna still trying to find an exact translation but it means something like "the service tree and the moon" so I am in the right place, So far have covered about 75 miles and have about 185 left to go but my legs hurt and my brain is cooked from the heat so the maths may be a little off... So far have had an amazing few days, climbed over a 1500 mtr mountain yesterday and have met some very interesting people including the extraordinary Megan Timothy from  Zimbabwe whom I shared a few hours walking with yesterday. It has been great to revisit the birthplace of the Walking Runes and as always the Camino has much to teach me again... will report in again when circumstances allow...
